Yerevan Brandy Factory “ArArAt”

Yerevan Brandy Factory ``ArArAt``

The Yerevan Brandy Factory “ArArAt” traces its history to a factory established in 1877 by merchant of the first guild Nerses Tairyants and since 1898 it was transferred to Nikolay Shustov. In 1948, in connection with the reorganization of the Yerevan Wine and Brandy Factory (in the late 1940s it was the name of the former Shustov factory) into Yerevan Winery, the cognac distillery and the brandy room were merged into an independent Yerevan Brandy Factory, allocated to a separate balance of the Yerevan Wine Factory.

In 1953, after completion of construction and moving to a new building, the independent history of the Yerevan Brandy Factory begins. From 1953 to 1991, the Yerevan Brandy Factory was the only factory that exclusively produced Armenian cognac. Here it bottles Armenian cognacs, famous all over the world: ordinary “ArArAt” (three- and five-year-old) and vintage (“Ani”, “Select”, “Holiday”, “Nairi” and “Akhtamar”).
