Armenian cuisine is famous for its abundance and variety of dishes. Preparation of many Armenian dishes is a rather time-consuming, but appealing process, the subtleties of which are inherited from one generation to another. At the same time, each region of Armenia has its own peculiarity in the preparation of a particular dish, and one can get acquainted with all this culinary splendour by directly participating in the cooking process, sensing the aroma and tastes of the gifts of the Armenian village.
Our group gastronomic tours will allow gourmet tourists to roll out the lavash dough themselves and take it out hot from the tonir, learn the peculiarities of making minced meat for dolma and wrap it in grape leaves, dip nuts strewed in a row into sugary grape juice for sujuk (churchhela). There are many Armenian dishes that are made by whole families, with a clear distribution of functions. A group of tourists can also become such an Armenian family-team, for which master classes for preparation of different Armenian dishes will be held. For culinary master classes, a special atmosphere will be selected or created which is typical of the main region of a particular dish, and the whole cooking procedure will be carried out under the careful supervision of highly skilled chefs and experienced hostesses.
